North East Accountants

North East Accountants, Russell & Co are  based in Ponteland close to Newcastle Airport. The company was formed by Brian Russell FCA, in the year 2000 to provide a range of high quality accountancy services including outsourced financial directorships to small and family owned businesses in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland.

We have around 100 clients that range from those with turnovers of up to £4 million through to individuals where we provide a Tax Return completion service. The majority of our client base are SME businesses with up to 10 employees and cover a range of industries and professions.

We have a  team of three full time members of staff with Michelle Cunningham, and Sophie Ditchburn working closely Brian Russell and Kerry Harrison who provides administrative support to the team.

Michelle Cunningham manages the day to day running of accounts preparation, bookkeeping, payroll and VAT returns. She has extensive experience of VAT and PAYE queries, as well as dealing with incomplete record accounts preparation.

Sophie Ditchburn has joined the team through the young apprentice scheme as a trainee accountant. She is currently studying towards the AAT qualification.

Our team is completed by Kerry Harrison who is the practice administrator and also deals with payroll for around 20 clients.
